Beverly Riley Graves was raised in Roswell, New Mexico, and began writing poetry at a very early age. She became a first-time author in October 2016 with her book entitled My Heart is Full! She recently published her second book, Ever so Grateful!, in November 2021, which includes all the poems from her first book and makes Ever So Grateful! a more significant collection of her poetry. She is currently working on her third book.
First and foremost, Beverly is a lover of Christ and refers to Him in many of her poems as “My Sweet and Most Beloved.” She is ever so grateful He has delivered her out of the many storms in her life; and thus, her passion is to praise Him and to lift Him up in gratitude. Many of her poems are her own personal testimonies, and you can hear God’s voice as He lovingly and patiently guides and directs her steps. You can also feel the fullness of her heart as she proclaims her gratefulness for His love.
Beverly is a member of Emmanuel Temple SDA Church and enjoys sharing her poems with her church family and friends. She also shares her poetry with individuals who are in need of encouragement and consolation. She truly believes Christ is the answer to every problem in life and lovingly acknowledges Him through scriptures, prayers and poetic words of praise and thanksgiving.
Beverly is recently retired and lives in Tonawanda, New York, with her husband, Benjamin, where they delight in the joys of spending time with their children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and grand-dogs.
